Facts Arabs Would Rather Not Admit

Facts Arabs Would Rather Not Admit

Statue of Maimonides at Cordoba, Spain.

I was complimented the other day by a reader of one of my recent articles, titled, Lies, Myths and Obama, which dealt – as many of them do – with the history of Israel: biblical and post-biblical.
I had included in the article the following sentence: “Only one people has ever made Jerusalem its capital and only one people ever established their ancestral and biblical homeland between the River Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea: the Jews.”
I had also added that: “the Jews were the aboriginal inhabitants of the Land for millennia before the Muslim religion was created.”
The reader, nevertheless, had correctly pointed out that most people, because they have been exposed for so long to anti-Israel Arab propaganda, believe that there has not been a continuous Jewish presence in the Land for the last 2,000 years. They are thus unaware that the territory was never Judenrein (that is empty of a Jewish presence). And Arabs would rather you forget also that Jews lived for millennia in Mesopotamia and in what became later known as British created Iraq.
Indeed Jews had resided for 3,000 years in that territory from the Babylonian Captivity onwards. It was when Israel was reborn in 1948 that the Iraqi Arabs drove the Jews from their ancient homes, turning them into refugees who found sanctuary in Israel; an impoverished country barely able to support them at the time. More Jewish refugees were created than Arab refugees as one Arab state after another in the Middle East and North Africa drove out their Jewish populations. A crime, which hardly is ever recognized.
Arabs and their anti-Israel supporters try to convince the world that the Jews just appeared in the early 20th century after being dispersed for two thousand years from their biblical homeland. That is a flat out lie and flies in the face of recorded history. But facts never seem to matter to Arabs and pro-Arabs. So this brief history lesson will be for them an inconvenient truth.
Let me start by quoting from an article written in The Weekly Standard, May 11, 1998 by Charles Krauthammer:
"Israel is the very embodiment of Jewish continuity: It is the only nation on earth that inhabits the same land, bears the same name, speaks the same language, and worships the same God that it did 3,000 years ago. You dig the soil and you find pottery from Davidic times, coins from Bar Kokhba, and 2,000-year-old scrolls written in a script remarkably like the one today advertising ice cream at the corner candy store."
The Jewish People trace their origin to Abraham, he who is called the Holy Convert, the first Jew, who established the belief in only one God, the creator of the universe. Abraham, his son Yitzhak (Isaac), and grandson Jacob (Israel), are referred to as the patriarchs of the Israeliteswho lived in what was then the Land of Canaan; later to become known as the Land of Israel. They and their wives are buried in the Ma'arat HaMachpela, the Tomb of the Patriarchs, in Hebron, Judaism’s second holiest city. (Genesis Chapter 23).
The name, Israel, derives from the name given to Jacob (Genesis 32:29). His 12 sons were the ancestors of the 12 tribes that later developed into the Jewish nation. The name Jew derives from Yehuda (Judah) one of the 12 sons of Jacob. You will find the names of the tribes listed in Exodus 1:1. Yehuda (Judea) is also the biblical name of the southern region of what the world calls by its Arab name – the West Bank. Shomron (Samaria) is the northern half.
Modern Israel shares the same language, culture, and Jewish faith passed through generations starting with the founding father Abraham and the Jews have had a continuous presence in the land of Israel for the past 3,300 years.
Menorah plundered from the Temple, depicted on the Arch of Titus, Rome.
In 70 AD, Rome destroyed the Holy Temple and conquered the Jewish nation, yet only part of the population was sent into exile. Even after the Second Jewish Revolt against the continuing cruel Roman occupation, Jews, though banned from Jerusalem, survived for centuries in other Jewish towns including Rafah, Gaza, Yavne, Ashkelon, Jaffa and Caesarea as well as throughout Galilee and the Golan. Ruins of synagogues built in post-biblical Byzantine times are found scattered throughout the Golan and an epic act of Jewish resistance to the Roman legions took place at Gamla, high upon the Golan Heights. Here again, the Jewish presence predates the modern Syrian claims to the Heights by millennia.
Interestingly, early seventh century battles raged between the Persians and the Byzantines over the Land of Israel. The Byzantines were oppressing the Jews and a Jewish general, Benjamin of Tiberius, was able to raise an army of twenty thousand Jewish men from villages and towns in northern Israel to support the Persian cause against the oppressors. This again points to extensive Jewish life in the land well after the erroneous Arab claim that Jews had not lived in the land during the last 2,000 years.
The height of Jewish prominence was again achieved in the tenth century. In Tiberius, by the shores of Lake Kinneret, the Sea of Galilee, a symbol system for Hebrew vowels was created which eventually gained universal acceptance. But with the advent of the Crusades in Israel during the 12th century, and the massacres of thousands of Jews in Jerusalem and throughout the land, the Jewish population reached its lowest point. But Jewish populations again revived, strengthened by new Jewish immigrants arriving constantly from the Diaspora. Many such returnees settled in Safed, Tiberius, Hebron and Jerusalem.
These are the four Holy Jewish cities of the Land with Jerusalem, north, south, east and west, the eternal 3,000 year old Jewish capital and veritable jewel in the crown. Jews traveling from Europe, such as the remarkable medieval explorer, Benjamin of Tudela, had to overcome immense perils while crossing lands at war with one anotherThey had to avoid  death or capture by bandits, or at sea from North African pirates and Crusaders based in Cyprus or Malta. That they came at all, however, remains a tribute to the earliest efforts to keep Israel populated with its aboriginal and ancestral folk and abide by the religious commandments to go up to the land of Israel.
A brief list of Jews returning to the ancestral land reveals a constant arrival of people joining existing Jewish villages and communities, themselves always at the mercy of alien occupiers.
According to the Center for Online Judaic Studies, here are just a few of the names of early Jewish returnees:
1075:1141 Yehuda Halevi, poet.
1135: 1204 Maimonides, philosopher.
1210: Settlement in Israel of three hundred French and English rabbis.
1267: Nachmanides arrives in Israel.
1313: Estory Haparchi arrives: The first geographer of Israel.
1538: Renewal of rabbinic ordination in Safed.
1561: Joseph Nasi leases Tiberius from Turkish sultan.
1700: Yehuda HeChasid and his followers arrive in Jerusalem.
1777: Large Hassidic group settles in Galilee.
1797: Rabbi Nachman of Bratzlav’s trip to Israel.
1808: Disciples of Elijah, Gaon of Vilna, settle in Jerusalem.
This very partial list of Jewish immigrants, who arrived well before the 20th century, is an inconvenient truth to the Arab and pro-Arab propagandists who would have you believe their myth that the Jews only arrived much, much later.
The national coins, the pottery, the cities and villages, the ancient Hebrew texts…all support the empirical fact that Jews always had a continuous presence in that land for over 3,000 years and the fact that Jewish villages and towns were to be found in all parts of the ancient homeland and throughout all the preceding years, up until the present time, certainly dwarfs any claims that other people in the region may have; especially the Arabs who today call themselves Palestinians.

LIES, MYTHS AND OBAMA: VICTOR SHARPE

Lies, myths and Obama
By Victor Sharpe:
A lie is like a noxious and perennial weed that is almost impossible to root out. So it is with the other weed; the myth of an Arab people who call themselves Palestinians and who dream of their past living in a land that belonged to them for millennia with their capital, Jerusalem.
But that is the same fertile Arab imagination that gave us The Thousand and One Arabian Nights replete with fantastic tales of magic, wizards and Ali Baba. Both, the claim of a distinct Arab people called Palestinians and the Thousand and One Nights are equal fantasies in the Arab mind.
The truth – not the fantasy – is that there was never an independent, sovereign Arab state called Palestine. Jerusalem was never the capital of any Arab polity in all of recorded history. Only one people has ever made Jerusalem its capital and only one people ever established their ancestral and biblical homeland between the River Jordan and the Mediterranean Sea: the Jews.

British Mandate for Palestine 1920-1948
In the years before Israel was reconstituted in 1948, the world referred to its Jewish residents as Palestinians. Indeed, the Palestinian military units fighting with the British Army in World War Two were Jewish to the man and woman. Few, if any, Arabs or Muslims fought against the Axis powers during that war and indeed many served in SS units; often willing collaborators with the Germans in murdering Jewish communities in the Balkans and elsewhere.
Remember, the word Palestine was only used legally after the Mandate over the territory was granted by the League of Nations in 1920 to Great Britain with the express intention of establishing within it a Jewish homeland. At that time, the Palestine Mandate covered all of what is Israel -including Judea and Samaria, or what is erroneously called the West Bank – and present day Jordan.
What so many in the media forget, if they ever knew, is that after the Ottoman Empire was dismantled by the victorious Allies, France and Britain, at the end of World War One, many new Arab states were created with Palestine reserved for a Jewish homeland.
But Britain reneged on its promise to the Jews and tore away four fifths of the Mandate territory in 1922 – that is all the land east of the Jordan River – and arbitrarily gave it away to the Hashemite Bedouin tribe. Immediately Jews were forbidden to live in what became Trans-Jordan and eventually the Kingdom of Jordan: An early example of ethnic cleansing and Arab apartheid.
The borders of Mandate Palestine as eventually determined
Interestingly, Arabs and their leaders had rejected any notion of a separate Palestinian identity. For them, Palestine was merely a part of Greater Syria and the Arabs were indistinct from their neighbors. Indeed, the Syrian dictator, Assad, still plots for the return of Jordan, Israel and the disputed territories.
As far as Palestine was concerned to those Arab absentee landlords of the early years of the 20th century, living in the fleshpots of Cairo, Damascus and Beirut, the land was worthless: barren and malarial infested. Then the Jewish pioneers returning in the late 19th century began to purchase the wasted and barren land at exorbitant prices – much higher than fertile land in Iowa and Idaho – drain the swamps and redeem again the ancient beloved Jewish homeland.
Jewish development of the centuries old neglected land, restored in familial love through blood, sweat and tears, ironically brought into the territory thousands of illegal Arab aliens who found livelihoods that were unavailable in the stagnant and corrupt neighboring Arab societies.
The British authorities invariably turned a blind eye to the flood of Arab illegals seeing in them a stick to beat the Jewish residents. Herein lays the genesis of the present day Arab claim to all the land and their descendant’s stated threat to extirpate any and all Jewish life within its borders.
So many well-meaning people in the West, as well as latent anti-Semites, have fallen hook, line and sinker for the myth of an Arab homeland called Palestine. So many people now believe the false claim by the well-funded Arab propaganda machine that the Jews came and stole it.
But though it sounds affecting and no doubt to the liberal mind particularly emotional with all the tugging of the heart strings that it implies, it is still an absolute lie just like the weed that can never be fully uprooted.
For so many people who are either ignorant or hard hearted towards the Jewish state, they are unaware that the Jews were the aboriginal inhabitants for millennia before the Muslim religion was created and Muslim armies swarmed out of Arabia with a Koran in one hand and a sword in the other to occupy vast territories in the name of Allah. The pity is that the bible as history is there for all to read. Sadly, so many ignore what is written.
The Arabs have spread over 12 million square kilometers in the Middle East and into North Africa (the Maghreb). Israel’s territory is barely 21,000 square kilometers and may soon be reduced further if its biblical heartland of Judea and Samaria is torn from it to create in its midst a terror state called Palestine: the 23rd Arab state.
When the world extends to the Jewish refugees who were expelled from Arab lands nearly 70 years ago the same sympathetic obsession that they extend to the Arabs who needlessly left Israel at the urgings of the corrupt Arab League, then there maybe hope for a better international community than exists at the present time.
When the same world expresses horror and condemns Jordan for barring Jews over 80 years ago from living in what was the Palestine Mandate territory east of the Jordan River, and when the world condemns the so-called Palestinian Authority from barring Jews within its territory now, then there may be equal hope for a redeemed international community.

Meanwhile the Jews – the real Palestinians – strive to live within the miniscule territory that is the Jewish state, denied even one day of peace from their genocidal Arab and Muslim neighbors. And then there is the American president, Barack Hussein Obama, who will not rest until Israel crumbles under his malevolent gaze and swaggering intimidation.

One of the most disturbing end times propaganda being promoted today is the absurd notion that the Jews never had a presence on the famous Temple Mount area in Jerusalem. Anyone who is knowledgeable about history and aware of the recent archaeological discoveries on the Temple Mount area over the years knows that the propaganda being perpetuated by the Islamics, United Nations, and other ungodly organizations is simply a political ploy to deny the Jews their historical capital of Jerusalem and the sacred Temple Mount area. The Temple Mount area is the holiest place in Judaism and the remnants of the Second Temple area visible in the form of the "Wailing Wall" where religious Jews flock from around the world in order to pray near the site of the First and Second Temples. Some of the outstanding quotes from the official Temple Mount Guide are as follows:
“The site is one of the oldest in the world. Its sanctity dates from the earliest times. Its identity with the site of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute. This, too, is the spot, according to universal belief, on which David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings” (2 Samuel 24:25).

Rather than the rules allowing non-Muslims to ascend the Mount being from 2006, as was cited in Wikipedia, the rules have remain unchanged since 1924, as can be seen in an online copy of “A Brief Guide to Al-Haram Al-Sharif,” published by the Supreme Moslem Council in Jerusalem, in 1924, with this copy from 1925.

  1. The UN under its Charter has no authority and cannot establish a country, it cannot supersede or modify international law and treaties. The UN under its charter can only recommend its resolutions and if it is accepted by the parties and signed as an agreement by the parties, it is valid, otherwise it has no validity of enforcement whatsoever.
The Arabs rejected outright all the pertinent UN resolutions and therefore none of those UN resolutions are valid.
There was also the Faisal Weizmann Agreement signed and executed in London on January 3, 1919 which recognized Palestine as a Jewish territory.
The UN, other entities, other nations and organizations can put up flags for the fictitious Arab Palestinians. It does not mean nothing. Under International Law and treaties signed and executed by the Supreme Allied Powers after WWI. Arab states were created in Mesopotamia , Syria, Lebanon , etc totaling 5 million square miles.
The Balfour Declaration was incorporated into international treaty and Palestine aka Israel which is about 75,000 square miles was assigned to be the reconstituted Jewish National Home it its historical ancestral indigenous territory going back over 3500 years. The Jewish people has a continuous habitation of Palestine aka Israel for the past 4000 years and more.
After 1948 the Arab countries persecuted and expelled over a million Jewish families and confiscated all their assets including over 110,000 square km. of land, which is about 6 times the size of Israel.
Most of the million expelled Jewish families were resettled in Israel and now comprise over half the population of Israel.

  2. Meeting with Mahmoud Abbas aka Abu Mazen is a mistake. You are legitimizing a terrorist murderer and a convicted killer as a leader.

Meeting with Mahmoud Abbas aka Abu Mazen is a mistake. You are legitimizing a terrorist murderer as a leader.

Deluding yourself after years of Arab deception of peace is another mistake.

The Arabs have a state and that is Jordan which has taken about 80% of Jewish allocated land under international law and treaties of post WWI. The Arabs also have the over 75,000 square miles of land the Arab countries confiscated from the million expelled Jewish families which is 6 times the size of Israel.

It is time to take another approach. Peace talks, not until the Arabs can prove they can control their population and live with the Jews in peaceful coexistence for at least 5 years and eliminate the education of its people to commit terror and violence and replace it with education and practice of living in harmony and coexistence. Nothing less will be accepted. It is not negotiable.

Temple Mount in Jerusalem is Jewish territory and has been since prior to the building of the two Jewish temples (as a matter of fact King David of Israel had paid the Jebusites money to purchase that property, to avoid conflict). Israel after liberating it in 1967 graciously permitted the Arabs to continue to pray there. Now the time has come to terminate that arrangement. It is the Arabs who are defiling The Jewish holy of holies.
After years of abuse of this privilege, by committing violence and violently interfering with Jewish worshipers on a consistent basis, Israel has the right, duty and obligation to revoke that privilege.
Let us take back our sacred ground, once and for all.
I am sure the Arab-Muslim would not permit anyone in the world to build and control the holy Muslim Site in Mecca.
Let the Arab-Muslim have Mecca and the Judeo-Christian have Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.
